It is A-quality elastic and is made of nylon and spandex and does not chafe and is smoothly elastic and latex-free. This is in contrast to normal elastic, which is incorrectly sold as mouth masks elastic.
You can thread the cord through the tunnel of the face mask with a safety pin.
